Airfare Geeks
Please read the following terms and conditions carefully. You must not book anything with Airfare Geeks unless you understand and agree with the following terms and conditions. If anyone makes a booking on behalf of other people they are binding all such people to these terms and conditions.
We act as an agent and book travel through a wide variety of airlines and suppliers. By booking with Airfare Geeks, you are authorising us to arrange contracts between yourself and these airlines and suppliers. If for any reason (outside the control of Airfare Geeks) that airline or supplier is unable to provide the service you have paid for, your rights are against the airline or supplier and not Airfare Geeks.
Passports & Visas:
With all international bookings we assume that all travellers on the booking have a valid machine-readable Australian passport with at least six months validity from the return date on their itinerary. If this is not the case, you must let us know! It is crucial that every traveller has a valid passport as well as any necessary visas and other documents that may be required by immigration and other government departments in all countries being visited. Ensuring that you have a valid passport and visas for all travel arranged by Airfare Geeks is the sole responsibility of the travellers. We will happily provide you with general information on visa and passport requirements for your trip when asked.
All travel arrangements must be booked in the exact same name that appears on the traveller’s passport. An incorrect name may incur significant costs to be corrected and may mean that the travel arrangements will not be able to be provided to the traveller and may not be refunded.
Travel Advice
General travel advice can be sought from the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade at www.smartraveller.gov.au . You can also register your travel plans with DFAT, so that you may be more easily contacted in an emergency.
Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is strongly recommended by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade for all overseas travel. We strongly recommend that you take out appropriate travel insurance to cover your travel arrangements.
Health
You must ensure that you are aware of any health requirements and recommended precautions relevant to your travel,
Supplier Change and Cancellation Fees
Cancelled bookings will incur cancellation fees, which can be up to 100% of the cost of the booking, regardless of whether travel has commenced. Amendment fees may also apply where a booking is changed or the names are amended. Where you seek a refund for a cancelled or amended booking for which payment has already been made to the supplier, we will not provide a refund to you until we receive the funds from that supplier.
Full payment and deposits
Deposits are required for all bookings made through Airfare Geeks and the due date for full payment will depend on the airline or suppliers terms & conditions. Your consultant will advise you of your due date for full payment at time of booking. All deposits are non-refundable for changes of mind or cancellations by you (subject to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law).
The price is only guaranteed once paid for in full by you. All prices are subject to availability and can be withdrawn or varied without notice.
Payments by B-Pay
Please note that B-PAY can take up to 3 business days to process. Please notify your consultant of your payment once it has been made.
Acknowledgement:
You acknowledge that you are 18 years of age or older and that you understand and agree with the above Terms and Conditions. You understand that this is a legally binding contract.
Privacy Policy
By providing personal information to Airfare Geeks, you agree that this Policy will apply to how we handle your personal information and you consent to us collecting, using and disclosing your personal information as detailed in this Policy. By booking with Airfare Geeks, you are agreeing with our Privacy Policy. You must only provide us with personal information relating to another individual is you have their consent to do so.
How do we collect personal information?
We will collect personal information directly from you. Generally, this collection will occur when you deal with us either in person, by telephone or email or when you visit our website.
When we act as agent
When we book products and services for you, we do so as agent for or on behalf of travel service providers. For example, if you purchase a flight from us, then under this Policy you will have consented to your personal information being provided to the airline to enable your flight to be booked.
We act as agent for or on behalf of many thousands of travel service providers, so it is not possible for us to set out in this Policy all of the travel service providers for whom we act nor exactly how each of these travel service providers will use your personal information.
How do we use personal information?
The main way we use your personal information is to book your travel as an agent. We may also contact you via phone, email or on social media with marketing material or newsletters.
We will disclose all travellers’ personal information to airlines, suppliers and wholesalers (both in Australia and in other countries) for the purpose of booking travel. We may also disclose this personal information to government departments (both in Australian and in other countries) either to assist with visa applications or similar or in any circumstances where we are legally required to do so. By booking with Airfare Geeks you consent to us disclosing any personal information relating to yourself and any other traveller you are booking on behalf of to third parties as outlined above. You also agree that we are not liable for how these third parties handle any personal information we disclose to them.
Updating your personal information
You must always make sure the personal information you provide to Airfare Geeks is correct and up to date. In the absence of instructions from you to amend or update your personal information, we will assume any information previously provided is still correct and current.
